A COLDPLAY KIND OF PARA-PARA-PARADISE

If you thought Coldplay was just another celebrity group, waxing eloquent about sustainability and reducing carbon emissions, you’d be very wrong!

By this point, we all know that their latest tour, Music of the Spheres, a first of its kind, is an ecological miracle! It is partly powered by energy fans-generated on a kinetic dance floor or power bikes, uses a battery using 100% renewable energy, and a tree is planted for every ticket sold, which amounts to over 5 million trees at this point. But that’s only the tip of this ecologically-conscious iceberg.

On the band’s official site, you’ll see their merch - all sustainably produced, with eco-friendly inks and yet again, a tree planted for every purchase made. And recently Chris Martin announced this

The album referred to here is their latest, Moon Music, which has the world’s first ECOCD, created from 90% recycled polycarbonate, sourced from waste otherwise headed for the landfill. An initiative with long-time partner The Ocean CleanUp project, tons of plastic trash diverted from Rio Las Vacas in Guatemala, will now be playing tracks from Moon Music. This was a long time-coming, with Coldplay’s investment, beginning all the way back in 2021. Apart from financial support, Coldplay also raised awareness about ocean conservation at their concerts.

Coldplay is a true testament to walking the talk. A class act all the way!

At MyFandom we couldn’t help but be inspired by this. With a band so dedicated to the cause of climate change, an association we hold so dear, and as representatives of a fandom that is ever-growing, Coldplay’s official merch at Myfandom is eco-friendly as well.

We have everything from T-shirts, Hoodies, Bags and Buckets hats. Each of which is made 100% sustainably. From our pieces to our packaging, we are doing it all the Coldplay way!
